Synopsis
Robert Lloyd stands at the center of the 2020 documentary King Rocker. He is the frontman of The Nightingales and previously led The Prefects during the 1977 White Riot tour with The Clash. Comedian Stewart Lee and director Michael Cumming trace Lloyd's music career and its impact on the UK scene. The film features interviews with Frank Skinner, Marc Riley, and others. It includes archive footage of John Peel and the band’s appearance on the children's program Razzmatazz in 1986. The film premiered at the Sheffield Doc/Fest.
