Synopsis

Joker, Kookie, and Djumbo are Cambodian refugees who were raised in the United States. After serving time in prison, they faced deportation back to Cambodia. The film follows their experiences as they adjust to life in a country they barely know. Directed by Thibaut Amri, Khmerica runs for 41 minutes and addresses issues related to the refugee crisis and the prison system. The documentary presents their struggles and the challenges of reintegration.
