Synopsis

Yazidi mine clearers in Iraq face the daunting task of removing IEDs left by ISIS, led by Hana Khider. This all-female team meticulously searches bombed-out buildings and fields, where a single misstep can lead to fatal consequences. Working with the Mines Advisory Group, part of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, they not only aim to restore safety to their homeland but also seek personal healing from the trauma of conflict. The documentary is part of a five-part series celebrating Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.
