Synopsis
Kazuya Tarukawa stands in his family's farmhouse in Sukagawa, Fukushima Prefecture, grappling with the aftermath of the 2011 nuclear disaster. In May 2015, a group of Tokyo students, aged 16 to 23, visit him and his mother, Mitsuyo. They listen as Kazuya recounts the struggles of farming in a region still affected by radiation. He reflects on his father's suicide, which followed the disaster, and discusses the challenges posed by TEPCO's compensation system. Kazuya remains determined to continue farming on his ancestral land.
