Synopsis

A Cuban director lives in Spain while searching for a black or half-caste dancer and singer for his musical film Si me Comprendieras. As the crew auditions actresses, they encounter difficult truths about family dynamics, unemployment, and limited opportunities for young Cubans. The struggles faced by these women come to light through their interviews and experiences. The narrative unfolds with the film crew’s perspective behind the camera, revealing the challenges of filmmaking amid the reality of life in Cuba.
