Synopsis

Katya and Vassya arrive in a small industrial town in Russia to teach at a conservative school. They aim to introduce new ideas about feminism, human rights, and politics. Instead, they face resistance from students who see school as a prison. Nationalism, sexism, and homophobia shape the environment around them. As the school year progresses, their hopeful mission shifts from lighthearted attempts to serious struggles against an entrenched educational system. The documentary runs for 90 minutes and was directed by Yuliya Vishnevetskaya.
