What is Heliades about?
Heliades is a short documentary. In Greek mythology, the Heliades, daughters of Helios and Clymene, mourn the death of their brother Phaëthon. After he fails to control their father's sun chariot, Zeus intervenes, striking it down with a thunderbolt. The Heliades grieve for four months, and in their sorrow, the gods transform them into poplar trees. Their tears become amber, which falls into the river Eridanos, where Phaëthon perished. This mythological tale reflects themes of loss and transformation.
