Synopsis
Seven aging women recount their experiences as comfort women during World War II. They describe the violence and trauma they endured while being forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese Army. Some were promised jobs in factories or hospitals, while others were abducted directly from their homes. Chinese scholars estimate that around 100,000 women were taken during the war, but the lack of official records complicates efforts to determine an exact figure. Zhongyi Ban directs this documentary, his third on the subject.
