Girl Against Gravity

Synopsis

Erdenchimeg, an 11-year-old aspiring contortionist, trains at a circus school in Mongolia. Her team receives an invitation to perform at a prestigious show in the parliament square. As the performance approaches, Erdenchimeg struggles with her routine, fearing she may become the odd one out. Her family background complicates her situation; her father is imprisoned, and her mother has a history of alcoholism. With her dreams and family dignity at stake, Erdenchimeg ultimately finds the strength to persevere. This documentary is part of the "Kids on the Silk Road" project.
