Synopsis
50 miles up the coast, Cree trapper George McLeod travels to check his trap lines and sell furs to the Hudson's Bay Company at Moose Factory.
Synopsis
George McLeod, a trapper from Moose Factory, travels along James Bay during the winter months. He checks his trap lines for mink and beaver, using traditional methods to skin and dry the pelts. After completing his rounds, McLeod returns to the Hudson's Bay Company post. There, he sells his furs and receives cash instead of store credit. The film documents the significant fur trade activities in this remote Canadian location. Directed by Eduard Buckman, it runs for 22 minutes.
