Fucking Mine

Synopsis

In the village of Ciñera, León, the mining area of Gordón faces the end of an era. Between 2016 and 2017, women miners share their stories and experiences as the industry declines. Local groups collaborated to create a collective work that intertwines these conversations with the final images of the mine. The film addresses themes of care work and emotional connections, often overlooked in traditional narratives about mining communities. It presents a personal perspective on the dismantling of a way of life.
