On the Tersky coast, the Pomors carry on traditions from their ancestors, the ancient Novgorodians. They left the authority of the Moscow prince to seek a life of freedom in the dense forests. Today, they fish, farm, and plant trees, maintaining their connection to the land. The Pomors embrace their challenging lifestyle, choosing it over any other. This documentary captures their daily activities and the choices that define their existence.
