Synopsis
Five little girls wander alone in the Syrian desert after their parents are killed in the conflict. They are members of the Caliphate, left to fend for themselves. The orphans eventually reach the Al Khol prisoner of war camp in Syrian Kurdistan. During the filming, they are located and returned to their relatives in Chechnya. Directed by Evdokia Moskvina, "Forbidden Children" runs for 72 minutes and addresses the aftermath of war and the fate of displaced children.
