Synopsis
Xizhu grandpa, labeled a "fool" by his neighbors, and Zengxiang aunty, who faces scorn from the community, become central figures in a returning villager's life. After graduating from college, the filmmaker revisits their village, grappling with the judgments of its residents. Through interactions with Xizhu and Zengxiang, the filmmaker reflects on the nature of normalcy and the perceptions of foolishness within this seemingly ordinary village. The documentary runs for 74 minutes and was released in 2014.
