Synopsis
Anne Charlotte Robertson, a Super 8 filmmaker from Boston, documents her life in "Five-Year Diary," a project that spans nearly two decades. From 1997, she reflects on her experiences with mental illness, including breakdowns and hospitalizations. Influenced by Ed Pincus and Carolee Schneemann, Robertson combines essay, performance, and stop-motion animation. She shares her thoughts on love, daily routines, and her cats, using filmmaking as a therapeutic outlet for her struggles.
