Synopsis
In a frozen Minnesota winter, Jennifer Weir, a Korean adoptee from North Dakota, collaborates with a Japanese drum master to unite top Taiko drummers. Their ensemble includes Tiffany Tamaribuchi, Kaoly Asano, Chieko Kojima, and Megan Chao-Smith. As they endure rigorous rehearsals, the group shares personal stories of vulnerability and joy. They confront cultural and stylistic differences while preparing for their first performance, revealing a narrative that extends beyond the realm of Taiko drumming.
