Synopsis

Pr. Vangengheim sits in a cell at the Gulag on the Solovki Islands in 1934. Arrested for sabotage, he writes letters to his wife and daughter, Eleonora, while hiding the truth of his imprisonment. The letters reflect his love and the struggle to protect his family from the grim realities he faces.
