Synopsis

Father Guy Barbier de Courteix served as a Roman Catholic priest in Finland from 1964 and later in Estonia from 1992. Born on September 20, 1921, he was sent to a labor camp in Halle, Germany, after the German occupation of France in 1940. During World War II, he joined the resistance, leading to his arrest and imprisonment in five prisons and four concentration camps. After surviving the Nazi regime, he became a priest in 1951 and was notably the only individual performing exorcisms in Estonia and Finland.
