In a remote tropical town in Colombia, a governor bans all forms of artistic expression, including dancing and singing. This oppressive atmosphere gives rise to the Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra, which creates "Makondo," a vibrant performance that travels through villages affected by armed conflict. Five-year-old Manuk Aukan Mejía narrates the adventures of this eclectic group of musicians, dancers, and artists as they bring joy and creativity to communities across Colombia.
