Synopsis
Seven-year-old Andrea sings as a butterfly in her school in 1976. As a teenager, she dreams of freedom and pursues ballet at a school in Leipzig. At 17, she faces disappointment and leaves the dance world. Andrea finds work as a waitress, where she enjoys interacting with others. At 19, she navigates her new life while dealing with the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Excerpts from the film "Butterflies" illustrate the evolution of her dreams of flight and independence.
