Synopsis

Edwin Raymond, a New York City police officer, reflects on his formative years in a crime-ridden neighborhood. Witnessing drug dealing at a young age and the brutal police assault of Abner Louima, along with the Amadou Diallo shooting, profoundly shapes his views on law enforcement. After joining the New York Police Department, Raymond confronts the reality of policing, where arrest quotas overshadow community engagement. Assigned to the Transit Bureau, he reveals how officers prioritize meeting these quotas, often at the expense of public safety and community trust.
