Educating Lucia - Zimbabwe

Synopsis

Lucia, a twelve-year-old girl from a tobacco farm in Zimbabwe, dreams of secondary school and becoming a pilot. Her older sister Barita, who aspires to study computer science, had to leave school after their parents died of AIDS. The youngest sister, Portia, wishes to be a dressmaker but is not enrolled in school. As AIDS orphans raised by their grandmother, the sisters face significant barriers to education, highlighting the challenges girls encounter in accessing schooling across Africa.
