Synopsis
Paulus Brun, a sculptor, faces an impossible task in Boris Lehman's 1989 film, Earthen Man. Set against the backdrop of the countryside, Brun attempts to create a life-size sculpture from the earth. As the story unfolds, the man of land takes on a life of his own. Ultimately, he meets his end on an opera stage, blending themes of creation and mortality. The film runs for 38 minutes and captures the struggle between artistic ambition and reality.
