Scott Johnson lay in a hospital bed in August 2001, facing the end of his life due to cystic fibrosis. With his lungs failing, he awaited a double lung transplant that would determine his fate. After three months, he received the transplant and began a remarkable recovery. Johnson became the first person with a double lung transplant to complete a full Ironman. He now prepares for The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis, an 80-mile ocean challenge, fulfilling the promises he made during his illness.
