Synopsis
Luo Yanrong works as a blaster in Shenmu County, China's largest coal-producing area. He shares cramped living quarters with colleagues, lacking basic amenities like a bathroom. The mine's canteen serves poor-quality food. After more than a decade in the industry, Luo continues to work despite a past injury from a blast, driven by the need to support his family and fund his children's education. In Yibin City, a gas explosion claimed the life of miner Xu, leaving his family in mourning.
