Synopsis
At a Washington, DC elementary school, 140 students prepare for a unique theater production. They participate in a program connected to the Kennedy Center's tribute to Stephen Sondheim. Under the guidance of four professional artists, these students work on their own version of Into the Woods, Jr. They learn about costume design, set construction, and acting. A separate group of students documents the experience on film with their professor, Charlene Gilbert. The project offers a rare chance for these children to engage with theater.
