Synopsis
Casire sits on the slopes of the Sara Sara Volcano in southern Peru. The community of about 200 people faces a history marked by the volcano's wrath. When it discovered incestuous relationships among its inhabitants, the volcano erupted, destroying the village. In a twist of fate, it spared the women, deeming the men guilty. The film recounts the aftermath of the Spanish conquest and the efforts to suppress the volcano’s influence, alongside the current state of the village.
