Synopsis

Dominga, a 25-year-old glue addict with terminal AIDS, navigates life in Chureca, Central America's largest dump in Nicaragua. Eleven-year-old Fabiola faces a dilemma between loyalty to her mother and the influence of evangelical Christians who want her to join a youth center away from the dump. Nineteen-year-old Maryuri, dealing with ongoing health issues, risks losing her second child in this harsh environment. By My Side follows their struggles for a better life amid challenging circumstances.
