Synopsis
Ola, a 30-year-old man living in Sweden, seeks to define himself beyond his mild intellectual disability. He faces various barriers that challenge his independence and self-reliance. Throughout his experiences, Ola questions how society perceives individuals with disabilities. Directed by Ragnhild Nøst Bergem, "Being Ola" presents a candid look at the daily life of a person striving for recognition as an individual, rather than a label. The documentary runs for 71 minutes and was released in 2023.
