Synopsis

Sabrina Jean stands at the forefront of the Chagossian exiles' fight to reclaim their homeland, the Chagos Islands, from British control. Fifty years ago, the British government expelled the entire Creole population to facilitate a military lease of Diego Garcia to the United States. As the lease nears expiration, Jean leads a campaign that includes participation in the World Football Cup for Stateless People. With the memories of the elders fading, the urgency to return home intensifies.
