Synopsis
On Diego Garcia, a U.S. military base now central to American operations, the Chagossian population was forcibly removed between 1967 and 1973. More than 2,000 islanders were relocated to Mauritius as part of a British-American operation. Interviews with displaced Chagossians reveal their struggles with poverty and the denial of their right to return.
