Synopsis

In Slovenia, the Slovenian Cinematheque undertook a decade-long project to preserve 179 short films from the Alpe-Adria region. Created between 1945 and 1991, these films emerged outside the state production framework during the socialist era. Director Jurij Meden presents the restoration and digitization efforts that have brought these experimental works back into public view. The documentary illustrates their significance in Slovenian film heritage and cultural identity, marking a revival of a largely forgotten cinematic legacy.
