Synopsis

David Lee Hoffman travels across China in the 1990s to find the finest teas. A California importer, he has shared tea with the Dalai Lama. Hoffman's mission centers on sourcing hand-picked and hand-processed teas while promoting organic farming. He meets with Chinese scientists, business leaders, and government officials to advocate for sustainable practices. By 2004, his efforts lead to the formation of farmer's collectives that sell premium teas and a growing interest in organic farming methods.
