Against the Sun

Synopsis

Tymofiy Sautkin, a potter from Kyiv, seeks refuge from his daily life and conflicts with his wife. He arrives on a secluded island, where he begins to sculpt an ideal woman from clay. As he immerses himself in this creative process, time slips away. Eventually, he must confront the reality of returning home, leaving behind the world he created. The film runs for 19 minutes and captures Sautkin's internal struggle between aspiration and obligation.
