Synopsis

Carole Laganière explores the profound impact of absence and loss through personal narratives shaped by her mother’s Alzheimer’s disease. The film intertwines her story with those of others facing similar struggles: Ines, an immigrant seeking her mother in Croatia after abandonment during the war; Deni, an American author tracing his roots in Quebec; and Nathalie, who searches for her missing sister.
