Synopsis

In the fishing village of Itaipu, Niterói, writer Lúcio Cardoso began an unfinished film in 1949. "A Mulher de Longe" reconstructs this project through recovered scenes and excerpts from Cardoso's film diary. Directed by Luiz Carlos Lacerda, the documentary captures the struggles of a writer grappling with the desire to bring his cinematic vision to life.
