Synopsis

Clorinda Archuleta, a mother from Oklahoma, faces three consecutive life sentences due to the state's “failure to protect” law. This law prosecutes parents who do not prevent child abuse, but critics, including the ACLU, argue it unfairly targets women, many of whom are victims of domestic violence. Clorinda's twin sons suffered severe injuries as infants, leading to her conviction alongside her ex-boyfriend, who received a 25-year sentence.
