Synopsis

Roy Emerson Stryker directed the Historical Section of the Farm Security Administration during the Great Depression. From 1935 to 1939, he made decisions about which photographs would be preserved and which would be discarded. Approximately 3000 black and white 35mm negatives were "killed" by punching holes in them, leaving them unprinted for decades. 3000 Killed presents 2992 of these images, accompanied by explanatory titles, revealing a forgotten aspect of American history.
