The year 2017 marks the 70th anniversary of Partition, one of the largest migrations in modern history characterized by its brutal violence that continues to scar the Asian subcontinent to this day. We document the personal stories of people separated by Partition and the people who are determined to keep the two countries at the verge of war. To understand the distrust between these two nations, we look at the relationship between Mohammed Ali Jinnah, a secular Muslim who went on to lead Pakistan, and his nemesis Mohandas Gandhi, a devout Hindu celebrated as the father of independent India.
