Synopsis
A man, woman, and dog walk through snow as voices read passages from Robert Grosseteste's On Light, or the Ingression of Forms. Zorns Lemma, a 1970 structuralist film by Hollis Frampton, begins with a reading from an early grammar textbook. The film features a largely silent presentation of an evolving 24-part alphabet, where the letters i and j, as well as u and v, are interchanged. This alphabet is cycled through, replaced, and expanded upon throughout the 60-minute runtime.
