Synopsis
Kurt Raab, a prominent actor and collaborator of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, filmed video sketches for a new project in late 1988. Diagnosed with AIDS, Raab continued to work despite his failing health, supported by his friend Hans Hirshmuller. "Yearning for Sodom" captures Raab's final months and serves as his last artistic expression before his death. The documentary runs for 45 minutes and premiered in 1989.
