Synopsis

Francis Xavier traveled across Asia in the 16th century as a Jesuit missionary. The documentary features dramatizations and interviews with scholars such as Ingrid Rowland from Notre Dame University and John O'Malley from Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Narrated by Liam Neeson, it incorporates contemporary location shots, paintings, engravings, and maps. The film also includes Xavier's letters, providing insight into his life and work. It runs for 56 minutes and was produced by Fourth Week Films and the New Orleans Jesuit Province.
