Inside the Pavilion of the São Paulo Art Biennial, Edgar Calel transforms his presence into something intangible. He moves beyond the constraints of modern architecture, becoming a figure of air-ungraspable and uncapturable. Through his phrase, “Sharpening words with my eyes,” Calel invites reflection on existence and representation. The 13-minute film challenges perceptions of time and space, urging a recalibration of how individuals locate themselves within these frameworks.
