Synopsis
Seydina Insa Wade returned to Dakar after years in France, where he performed in jazz clubs during the 1980s. Once a prominent figure in Senegal's folk music scene in the 1970s, he found that many in his homeland were unfamiliar with his work. Over two years, filmmaker Ousmane William Mbaye documented Wade's efforts to reconnect with his roots and record new music. Their growing friendship reveals Wade's complex personality through his reflections and performances.
