Synopsis
In Plazuela, a quiet village in the mountains of Ecuador, an ice-cream van drives through empty streets. No children follow it. Only a few elderly women remain, all widows. They sit in dimly lit homes, surrounded by photographs of loved ones. Husbands have died, children have left for cities or other countries, and grandchildren have grown up far away. The film captures the solitude of these women and the changes in their community.
