Synopsis

Lisa, a retired firefighter and police officer from California, faces a deep sense of isolation and loss of purpose. Mike, a former battalion chief, struggles with severe sleep deprivation and anger management issues. Both seek relief after traditional therapies fail. They travel to a retreat in Mexico, where they undergo psilocybin and 5-MeO DMT treatments administered by traditional healers. Their experiences aim to provide new paths to healing and improved family relationships.
