When Eight Bells Toll

Synopsis

Philip Calvert, portrayed by Anthony Hopkins, is a secret service agent tasked with halting the rampant piracy of gold bullion in the Irish Sea. His investigation leads him to a small port in the Hebrides, where numerous fishing boats and yachts have vanished under mysterious circumstances. As Calvert navigates a web of deceit, he encounters wealthy residents Sir Anthony Skouras, played by Jack Hawkins, and his wife Charlotte, portrayed by Nathalie Delon, who may hold crucial information. Directed by Etienne Périer, the film features a score by Angela Morley and cinematography by Arthur Ibbetson.
