Ro Haber, an out trans filmmaker, reflects on the legacy of Pat, the androgynous character from Saturday Night Live, made famous by Julia Sweeney. As a child, Haber became fascinated with Pat, a figure who challenged gender norms in the 1990s. Thirty-five years after the character's debut in It’s Pat, Haber gathers queer and trans comedians and writers, including Sweeney, to discuss and critique Pat's impact. Their conversations aim to reframe Pat from a source of ridicule to one of empowerment.
