Maremoto, a young illustrator based in Mexico City, uses her art to confront the grim reality of violence against women in her community. With 11 women murdered daily and 95,000 people missing, she channels her experiences into feminist drawings that address the trauma of femicides. Maremoto's work empowers her peers to demand government accountability and creates a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Through her art, she fosters self-acceptance and encourages collective action against systemic issues.
