Synopsis
In Argentina during the 1990s, large groups of unemployed people began to block roads as a form of protest, known as pikete. Mainstream media often portrays these demonstrators as violent men. Water Salt Flour focuses on the women within the pikete movement, who make up 70% of its participants yet remain largely unrecognized. The film brings attention to their experiences and contributions in a time of political unrest.
